Iranian ‘Double Bridge’ wins at Brussels filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘Double Bridge’ has grabbed the Best Short Film Award at the 2021 Brussels International Film Festival (BRIFF) in Belgium.

Written and directed by Hamid Vatanparast, the short film explores the social issue of parents’ relationship with their children.

Sina Rahmani, Pantea Mahdinia, Soudeh Azqandi, Mahsa Hemmati, Mahsa Baqeri and Hossein Qasemi are the actors in the short film.

Hanif Siahi, Mani Moshafi, and Parsa Aligol are the child actors.

The short film has previously participated in the Paradise Film Festival in Hungary.

The BRIFF aims to bring films from around the world to film lovers in Brussels. It hosts films from new filmmakers and also well-established professionals.

The latest edition of the BRIFF was held on September 1-11, 2021.
